SDIS 13
SDIS 13 (Fire Department of Bouches-du-Rhône) SDIS 13 is a public service and an essential regional player in safety matters. The fire department responds to an emergency each 3 minutes, with over 950,000 dispatches in 2006. It is home to a strong service of 4,800 firemen, a fleet of 1,500 vehicles, and a total of 69 fire stations. The teams are specialized in technological risk, contamination cleanup, rescue and recovery, water rescue, and height rescues.

TEEX has been providing unsurpassed fire training for emergency responders since 1929, when the State Firemen’s and Fire Marshals’ Association of Texas selected Texas A&M University as the site for a permanent firefighter training school. Today, TEEX trains more than 81,000 emergency responders from all 50 states and 45 countries each year. TEEX is home to Brayton Fire Field, a 120-acre training facility located in College Station, Texas, where accredited NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) trainings are offered.
